The grip safety on Series 2 Kimbers need to swing outward enough to allow the plunger to retract back into the frame. Some light filing on the relevant contact areas will do the trick. Often it is the front part of the mainspring housing "ears", as that surface is what usually acts as a stop to the rearward swing of the grip safety.
