The SI Magwell is the latest addition to the Stan Chen Custom Magwell family. It delivers greatly enhanced reloads, elegant design and maximum durability.
Solid, one piece construction.
Large sculpted funnel for dramatically faster reloads. Through careful CAD design, every last millimeter of available real estate was turned into reload-enhancing surface area.
Designed to very nicely match the beveled magazine wells commonly found on current production 1911s, such as Springfields, Kimbers, Dan Wessons and current Colts (2018 production with fully beveled magazine well) .
Most Colts made prior to 2018, and other frames without full magazine bevels, will require minor blending. (See pictures above). We offer a "Blend Kit" to facilitate this (located under "Accesories").
Eliminates sharp frame corners. Unique funnel profile eliminates sharp edges at front of magazine well opening on the frame. Smoothing of all surfaces on the entire part yields total carry comfort.
Low profile roundbutt. Flowing design. The lines of the entire magwell were designed to flow well with the pistol, giving the bottom of the pistol a cohesive, custom look.
Custom quality checkering. Equaled only by the very best gunsmiths. Perfectly formed diamonds, row after row. Even at 20x magnification. Enhances recoil control.
One-Piece Durability. Precision CNC machined from a solid block of heat treated steel. No joints or screws to work loose, ever.

SI Magwell
Very high quality part. Mine needed minor fitting on a BUL Commander. Like three strokes with a file across the top. Installed it looks like it was always part of the gun. Mag changes are so much faster now. Awesome product.

CHEN SI MAGWELL
Chen SI Magwell is a winner. It's easy to install, fits great, and works like it should. Also, it's not a big, obtrusive eyesore hanging off your gun, it looks good and is sleeker looking than many other mag wells out there. I'm not really a big Magwell fan because of the size and appearance of so many of them but this one is pleasing to the eye and blends with the gun nicely. I bought a Springfield Armory Operator as a general fun/beater/competition gun that I don't have to worry about and the Chen Magwell compliments its intended use well. And I do believe it is well worth every cent, especially in comparison to the mag wells I've seen on different 1911s I've come across over the years. The inside edge of the Chen mag well lines up just about perfectly with the factory bevels in the frame and mag insertion is fast and smooth from any angle. You can be pretty sloppy with your mag insertion and it still slips right in from angles that would normally hang the mag up on the frame. The checkering is nice and sharp and grippy and the rounded butt looks good and makes it comfortable in the hand.

FANTASTIC magwell!!!
Installed on a Ronin 4.25 9mm and it is an amazing fit for “drop-in” part. I look forward to getting another for a TRP operator. Highly recommended part. Alchemy uses them for a reason!!

Very nice
Required minor fitting on a Springfield lightweight operator. Cold blued with brownells product, fitting hidden by grip safety anyway. Quality product. The slightly rounded heel is much nicer in the hand. "Funnel" matches well enough that I will not be blending. Paired with some VZ grips. Finished product looks and feels great. I opened in front of my wife who immediately snatched the M&M's, perfect because she didn't ask about the item anymore after that, lol. Will be recommending to friends that own 1911s and will likely get more myself. Thanks!

SI Magwell
Installed this magwell in my Springfield Ronin EMP 4 in. Had to do small modification, knowing before I order that this only fit government model. The magwell look great and quality was what I was expecting. I’ll be ordering more SI Magwell on my next build.
