The SI Magwell is the latest addition to the Stan Chen Custom Magwell family. It delivers greatly enhanced reloads, elegant design and maximum durability.
Solid, one piece construction.
Large sculpted funnel for dramatically faster reloads. Through careful CAD design, every last millimeter of available real estate was turned into reload-enhancing surface area.
Designed to very nicely match the beveled magazine wells commonly found on current production 1911s, such as Springfields, Kimbers, Dan Wessons and current Colts (2018 production with fully beveled magazine well) .
Most Colts made prior to 2018, and other frames without full magazine bevels, will require minor blending. (See pictures above). We offer a "Blend Kit" to facilitate this (located under "Accesories").
Eliminates sharp frame corners. Unique funnel profile eliminates sharp edges at front of magazine well opening on the frame. Smoothing of all surfaces on the entire part yields total carry comfort.
Low profile roundbutt. Flowing design. The lines of the entire magwell were designed to flow well with the pistol, giving the bottom of the pistol a cohesive, custom look.
Custom quality checkering. Equaled only by the very best gunsmiths. Perfectly formed diamonds, row after row. Even at 20x magnification. Enhances recoil control.
One-Piece Durability. Precision CNC machined from a solid block of heat treated steel. No joints or screws to work loose, ever.

SI Magwells: It’s beautiful,man!
I bought these to install on my SA TRP Full Rail and Colt 1991A1. Fit beautifully on both and surprisingly my TRP need minor blending. I am impressed beyond words: bought 2 more to install on a fellow Marines 1911s. Will report those on a separate review. For what I paid, I stole these SI Magwells. Thank you Stan Chen Custom!

SI magwell
The machining and finish is absolutely first class. Beautiful craftsmanship. This is for a future project, so I don't know if this will drop right in or need some minor fitting. Either way it's a beautiful piece of workmanship.

PERFECTION.
I installed this magwell on my Springfield Armory LW Champion Operator. No gunsmithing required, I could do everything in 10 min. Design is pretty good and machining was awesome. Angle inside is little bit aggressive guides mags into frame really well. I am gonna buy again when I have another 1911. I highly recommend.

Excellent magwell
I’ve bought two of the magwells so far and I plan to pick up at least one more. Perfect fit on a series 1 Kimber, like it was made for it. Great fit on a new Colt also. Machining is excellent. I would definitely recommend picking one up.

First 1911. First Magwell
I researched many magwells to find the "right one" Not knowing much about them, I went with the rave reviews of the Stan Chen "Si" Shooter Installed, for ergonomics, design, and quality. And I'm glad I did. The Si magwell installed without much fuss for a first timer. It looks real nice on my new MC Operator. A hand signed thank-you letter, and a bag of M&M Peanuts (my favorite snack) was also included. I'm very pleased with my purchase. Thanks!
