The SI Magwell is the latest addition to the Stan Chen Custom Magwell family. It delivers greatly enhanced reloads, elegant design and maximum durability.
Solid, one piece construction.
Large sculpted funnel for dramatically faster reloads. Through careful CAD design, every last millimeter of available real estate was turned into reload-enhancing surface area.
Designed to very nicely match the beveled magazine wells commonly found on current production 1911s, such as Springfields, Kimbers, Dan Wessons and current Colts (2018 production with fully beveled magazine well) .
Most Colts made prior to 2018, and other frames without full magazine bevels, will require minor blending. (See pictures above). We offer a "Blend Kit" to facilitate this (located under "Accesories").
Eliminates sharp frame corners. Unique funnel profile eliminates sharp edges at front of magazine well opening on the frame. Smoothing of all surfaces on the entire part yields total carry comfort.
Low profile roundbutt. Flowing design. The lines of the entire magwell were designed to flow well with the pistol, giving the bottom of the pistol a cohesive, custom look.
Custom quality checkering. Equaled only by the very best gunsmiths. Perfectly formed diamonds, row after row. Even at 20x magnification. Enhances recoil control.
One-Piece Durability. Precision CNC machined from a solid block of heat treated steel. No joints or screws to work loose, ever.

Magwell - Shooter Installed
This was a great purchase from a great company. I've purchased 6 of the Shooter Installed Magwells over the past two months - in both blued and stainless steel - and they have been as advertised. Fantastic Magwell!
Magwell fits nice and tight against the frame of my custom 1911. The one piece design means it won't ever come loose and the checkering is fine enough to give a good grip without digging into my hands. The rounded end of it feels more comfortable in my hands than the 2 piece it replaced. Fit and Finish are fantastic! Buy one, you'll like it!

SI Magwell
this is my first 1911, as in bought it 1 week ago, and wanted a magwell. found some threads on the 1911forum about Stan's SI magwell and thought what the h@!!. i was a little nervous about fitting it as it was very tight but i got it to slide in with no fitting and it looks GREAT and functions even better. fits the bevels in my factory mag well almost prefect! Thanks Stan what a quality piece of equipment and from a local CO owned company, even better!

Fantastic Experience
Stan shipped out my magwell pronto. Included in the box was a personal note of thanks from Stan. I could never afford one of his exquisite works of art but I can afford his exquisite parts. I have yet to install the magwell but it is a work of art to hold. Very happy customer here. I see another order to Stan before long.

Perfect fit
I installed on a SS Range Officer, and the fit is incredible. It was like this was machined for my pistol. I do have to blend the inner magwell a bit, but the rest of it fits perfect. If tou have a range Officer, This is a must have!
